Paul and Susannah had a dream; it started over 18 years ago while vacationing in the Outer Banks. They came in pursuit of wind and waves. The Outer Banks had everything to offer, warm sunny days, a clean ocean, and friendly people. They had found paradise; the only thing missing was a cup of fresh roasted coffee to go with the magnificent sunrise each morning. From this inspiration the Front Porch cafe and Kill Devil Coffee Roasters was born.

Our mission at the Front Porch is to serve you the freshest, finest coffee possible. We source top quality green beans from the world’s coffee producing countries. We then micro roast each batch right in our store. You are invited to come join us at one of our casual, relaxed community coffeehouses: Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head, and our newest store in Manteo. Come watch us roast (at our Nags Head store) and catch the local buzz while hanging out and enjoying a latte with a fresh baked cinnamon roll, muffin, or croissant warm from the oven.
